KATHMANDU, JAN 26 - Last six months saw the signing of the Power Trade Agreement (PTA) between Nepal and India, Project Development Agreement (PDA) between Investment Board of Nepal (IBN) and two Indian companies for Upper Karnali and Arun III Hydropower Projects, and endorsement of a Rs 40 billion investment proposal of Reliance Cement Industries, India.

KATHMANDU, JAN 26 - CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the ruling parties—Nepali Congress and CPN-UML— made a mistake by tabling their joint proposal at the Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee ( PDCC ).
Speaking at an interaction programme organised by Press Chautari at Baghbazar in the Capital on Monday, leader Nepal remarked that the parties cannot backtrack from consensus and the constitution should be drafted through consensus.

Work together with oppn: Prez
KATHMANDU, JAN 26 - President Ram Baran Yadav has asked CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli to work together with the opposition parties including UCPN (Maoist), who have been putting their note of dissent in the Constituent Assembly, in the constitution drafting process.

Deadly day begins at Gadhimai today
BARA, NOV 28 - The sacrificial ritual at Gadhimai is set to begin in the wee hours of Friday, with hundreds of thousands of people from India and Nepal flocking to Bariyapur to partake in the most crucial day of the once-in-five-years event.
