MYAGDI, NOV 19 - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive civic felicitation in Mustang during his visit to the holy shrine of Muktinath later this month.
The Indian PM is scheduled to visit the famous religious site of Muktinath when he visits Kathmandu to attend the Saarc Summit on 26 and 27 November.
The Mustang locals have decided to offer a civic felicitation to the Indian dignitary in the belief that his visit would help promote tourism in the district.
A 17-member all-party and all-sides preparation committee has been formed under the leadership of local social worker Chandra Mohan Gauchan to make the felicitation effective and systematic.
An assembly organised in this connection and coordinated by Chief District Officer Baburam Bhandari decided to brief the Indian Prime Minister about the local problems during the course of the felicitation, Gauchan said.
Security has been beefed up in the district in view of Modi's impending visit, CDO Bhandari said.according to ekantipur
